Taking pictures, in and of itself, isn't hard at all. Everyone does it. It's easy really. So why then are there 'professional' photographers? Well, for the same reason that there are professional sports figures. Anyone can hit a jumper with enough practice, but not everyone has the determination to practice that same jumper until they can make it with three seconds left on the clock and two defenders in their face.
It should be noted that anyone can get take a professional looking photo. But the pros get paid the big bucks to take a professional looking photo everytime. Could I turn pro one day? It's a possibility. But for right now I'm more focused on getting the right photos and learning more about the art itself. (In addition to some side jobs of course :-p)
